Notes and Thoughts On Rev. Mary McKey’s message on Sunday, July 27, 2014
Rev. Mary McKey preached on how, through the parables in Matthew, Jesus describes what heaven is like. Rev. McKey referred to ten of the parables, pointing to the common thread in each one.
That common thread is growth in ourselves and others. Our goal should be growing closer to God and blessing others in His name.
Rev. McKey showed us how the parables apply to TPC right now as we seek a transitional pastor and call a future pastor. What our role should be in this process is to continue to move forward, bless others, offer more ways in which people may engage in studying God’s Word, and live as if the Kingdom is here now.
