No Committee Meetings in July. Committee night (usually the first Monday of the month) has been canceled due to the Independence Day holiday. The next committee night will be Monday, Aug. 7. 2017 Church and Preschool Fall Family Picnic. Are you getting ready to plan your 2017 getaways and vacations? Put our 2017 Church and Preschool Fall Family Picnic on your calendar first. The date is set for Saturday, Oct. 21. Details to follow. Make plans now to participate in the fellowship, food and fun that we have planned for our church and preschool families.

Holiday Schedule. The church office will be closed on Monday, July 3, and Tuesday, July 4, in honor of Independence Day.
Chancel Choir Summer Schedule. The choir is taking the month of July off and will return on Sunday, Aug. 6. Enjoy the special music from various members of our music ministry.
Steeple People Sunday School Class. Will be taking a break through July and most of August and will resume meeting on Sunday, Aug. 27.
The July printed calendar and birthday and anniversary list are available for pick up on the front counter in the office building.
Kitchen Renovation Update. Please excuse the mess in the kitchen and Fellowship Hall. This week the A/C ductwork and the final stages of the electrical work were completed and the flooring was selected. Next week, the insulation and drywall will be installed. Coffee Hour has been suspended until completion of the project which is scheduled for mid-August. Contact Dwight Walters at email@example.com if you have questions.
Pew to Pulpit. Do you have questions you’ve always wanted answered? Place your questions in the offering plate or email them to firstname.lastname@example.org and Pastor Chris will cover as many of them as he can during the summer sermons.

Share Your Joys & Celebrations. We want to share in the happiness when good things happen to the folks in our congregation. Have you had a special birthday or anniversary? Gotten a promotion, a new job or a new home? Become engaged or married? Have you or someone in your family had a baby? Or has anything else happened in your life that’s causing you to celebrate? Let us say a prayer of praise and thanks with you by adding your joys and celebrations to the weekly prayer list. Use the prayer cards in the pew racks or the “Joys, Thank You’s & Kudos” online form under the “Contact” tab on the website.
Children & Youth
Youth Beach Trip.The youth are going to New Smyrna Beach on Saturday, July 1. Bring your sunscreen, towel, water and a lunch. For additional info and the time to meet at the church, contact Kenne Sparks at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Youth Summer Program. The youth will be meeting on Sundays at 5:30 p.m. and Wednesdays at 7 p.m. at the home of Kenne & Christina Sparks. Contact Kenne for more information at kennepsparks@gmail.
Children’s Summer Sunday School Program.Children ages kindergarten to grade 5 will be doing a short study, a fun activity, having fellowship and playtime on the playground with Ms. Jodi and Ms. Ester beginning Sunday, May 28 through the summer. They meet in the chapel at 10 a.m. The preschool program will remain the same, with children meeting in room F12 in the Activities Bldg. The Sunday evening programs for children (Music Makers) and youth (dinner and study) are on summer break. Watch the bulletin and weekly announcements for details on special summer activities and new fall programs.
Student Ministry. Our middle and high school students meet for Sunday School in the Youth Room Sunday mornings, 10-10:45 a.m. They are taking a break for the summer from their usual Sunday evening program of dinner, study and fellowship at the church; watch the announcements for details on exciting summer activities. Church Nursery is available for ages 0-4 every Sunday from 8:45 a.m. until 12 noon and for special events at the church. Contact Debbie Harned at email@example.com.
Children’s Time is available at the 9 & 11 a.m. services for children in grades K-2. Children may leave the sanctuary after the children’s message for supervised age-appropriate activities and will be returned to the sanctuary at the end of the service.
